Sherry wanted to be a vet when she was little. Or join the army. But her teenage years changed things. Acne, redness and irritation knocked her confidence, and her mum would take her to the cosmetic counters at Whittaker’s in Bolton, where she learned for the first time how to properly care for her skin. From that moment, she was hooked.

 

She became fascinated by skin: why it behaves the way it does, how nutrition and hormones play a part, what actually helps. Sport was already a big part of her life too, and she won Sports Girl of the Year at school. Over the next 30 years, the two passions came together. She’s owned salons, worked for leading cosmetic companies and built a career as a Business Development Manager for skincare brands. She studied laser treatments in Barcelona before they were even available here in the UK, helped bring that technology into clinics, and spent years training therapists across the industry.

 

Now all of that has landed at Glebe Farm. Poème opened in June and offers three things: advanced skincare and beauty treatments, holistic therapies including aromatherapy massage, hot stone treatments and gua sha facials, and weight management support through fitness coaching, nutrition advice and non-invasive body treatments.

 

Sherry doesn’t believe in quick fixes. She works with you, gets to know your skin, your lifestyle and your goals, and builds something around that.
